Siltstone

Classification：Sedimentary Rock

A sandstone type with particle size and characteristics between sandstone and shale. The loess is the weathering and accumulation of siltstone. Pure siltstone is composed of very fine dust particles, and there may be plenty of sand and clay.

Siltstone is easily fragmented with tiny particles hardened by clay, and has texture and composition of shale, but lacks detailed stratification.
